I'm Michele Lee Scherger, NRBA, CSSE, GRI, CDPE, a licensed Florida broker and owner of Pinnacle Real Estate Group in Fort Pierce. I've worked the default side of the Treasure Coast since 2010, covering St. Lucie, Martin, and Indian River Counties.

In addition to default servicing, I also facilitate retail real estate listings, sales, rentals, short sales, probate, and divorce sales.

The Certified Short Sale Expert designation formalized what I'd already built through almost two decades of practice. That means structured lender negotiation, deficiency resolution, HOA lien subordination, and seller counseling at every stage of the default process. My entire team holds the CSSE designation. That's not common in this market.

On the REO side, I handle the full scope: pre-listing BPOs, occupancy and condition inspections, securing vacant assets, code violation management, HOA negotiation, contractor bid oversight, and disposition through closing. I know what asset managers need before they ask for it.
