About

I am Dan Pflugshaupt, Broker/Owner of Gallery of Homes, leading a dedicated REO team providing statewide coverage across Minnesota, including the Twin Cities and North Central Minnesota, with a primary focus and deep experience in rural and hard-to-service properties.

Licensed since 2003 and active in the default industry since 2005, our team manages a high volume of REO assets across all stages, including pre-foreclosure, short sales, loss mitigation, redemption periods, occupied properties, distressed assets, renovation, and active disposition, with the structure in place to support consistent execution for regional and national clients.

Our operation is built to manage assets throughout the entire lifecycle, with a full REO team including management, field staff, and dedicated accounts payable/receivable support, along with a statewide vendor network coordinating bids, property preservation, routine property inspections, occupancy checks, securing, rekeys, winterizations, repair coordination, and rehab oversight.

A core strength of our operation is renovation, rehab, and repair execution. We actively manage projects to improve marketability and maximize asset recovery, overseeing contractors, coordinating scopes of work, and ensuring efficient completion across diverse property types and geographic locations.

Short sales and pre-foreclosure resolution are a significant part of our operation. We work within loss mitigation timelines to support lender objectives, reduce losses, and facilitate efficient resolution of distressed assets, particularly in complex and rural markets where these situations require experienced oversight.

Our team also supports property marketing through professional photography, drone imagery, and 360-degree tours to improve exposure and assist in driving market response where appropriate.

Financially, we are positioned to perform, with the ability to advance funds for repairs, utilities, and preservation expenses, ensuring timelines are not delayed and assets move efficiently through the disposition process.

In addition to REO disposition, we complete a high volume of BPOs annually and maintain strong expertise in valuation, condition assessment, and market positioning across rural, distressed, and investment properties.

I have been a member of the National REO Brokers Association (NRBA) since 2012 and was recently designated as a Master Broker for the state of Minnesota.

We are active on leading platforms and maintain full MLS access across Minnesota, including Northstar MLS and regional boards.

Together with our full-service experienced team and customized software, our systems ensure we meet all sensitive timelines including occupancy checks, Comprehensive Drive By and Interior BPO Valuations, bids for repairs, billing, utilities, and any other items that are important to you, our client. We have over  $50,000 on hand to manage all aspects of REO and All utility and vendor accounts in good standing.

We realize home ownership is not for everyone and empathize with families that need help with relocation to a new home. We work closely with local county agencies, churches, housing and redevelopment authorities across all the counties that we service. We also assist in any negotiations needed in the relocation process ensuring families have a place to call home.

Technology

Our company has always embraced new technologies as soon as they become available. Through their use we have found that we have become incredibly efficient.
We utilize Virtual 3D tours & interactive floor plan diagrams: this allows potential buyers to “walk through” properties without having to leave their home. They can walk through a home scrolling from the floor-to-ceiling in every room. We also utilize the 3D tours upon initial inspection of an asset, determining personal property, determining repairs, and after repairs are complete and share these with our clients.

Drone technology is used upon initial inspection of an asset to allow us to view and inspect the asset. This allows for a more through inspection of all properties and possible issues that may not be visible from land. We also utilize drone technology with our marketing photography showing dynamic neighborhood views and angles of the properties that buyers cannot see when considering purchasing a property.  

High end professional photography equipment is utilized on all assets for marketing photos allowing us to make all properties look the best possible for marketing materials.

We have all current and popular software, including Microsoft offices, word, excel, power point, publisher, Adobe, etc. and our staff is quite skilled with them. This allows us to handle any type of document, put together any type of presentation, as well as develop customized marketing pieces, training programs and educational manuals.

We have also embraced digital cameras, laptops, smart phones, and tablets so that all information can be transmitted directly to our office from the field staff while they are at the property.

We use a cloud-based system for all properties that excludes private data, which is kept onsite only. Using this cloud-based system allows all staff access to non-private data about a property at any location, anytime.
